Beginning next week, The Confirmation Project will be sending out a survey to collect data from every congregation that is on record with its denominational offices as to having confirmed a minimum of one young person over the last two years. Completing this survey will help The Confirmation Project better understand Confirmation programs across the church and how these programs help enhance the discipleship of young people today.
This survey will be sent electronically to the contact person on record for each individual parish. In most cases, this might be the rector, vicar, or senior warden. Anyone participating in or working with youth Confirmation programs (youth ministers, clergy, parents, volunteers, mentors, lay staff, youth, etc.) is encouraged to complete this survey. The more people who complete this survey, the more we can learn about how Confirmation is used throughout the church.
This is the first of two surveys; the second survey will be sent to all participants in spring 2015.
There are two things we are suggesting parishes do in conjunction with this project:
1. Be sure that the right contact in your parish will be receiving the survey. You can do
that by visiting this page.
2. When your parish receives the survey, complete it as soon as possible and forward it to
others who work with your Confirmation programs to complete as well.
If you have any questions, you can directly contact The Confirmation Project team here.
Thank you for your support of this endeavor!
