Summer 2014 brought great excitement and challenges to youth ministry in the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania. City Camp expanded to nine day camps and served approximately 300 students throughout the diocese. The Episcopal Mission Center welcomed groups from across the country to Philadelphia for mission work and service learning. Our diocese hosted EYE, bringing over 1,000 young people and their leaders to our city to learn, work, and play.
And, now that summer has officially ended, it is time for us to start the cycle of our program year all over again.
We have a lot of great things planned for 2014-2015, and we've already started making preparations! Here are some new things you will see coming from our office this program year:
A Fall Jr. High Retreat! This year we are moving our Jr. High retreat to November! We will be gathering with other youth from around Province III in Philly at the Mission Center. Even though this event is being held in a new location and at a different time, we still will have the same great program. You can now register for this event!
Stories & Rituals is expanding and will be available for the entire program year. The first five lessons are now posted; keep an eye out for more coming soon! You can learn more about Stories & Rituals here.
New Nightwatch locations! This year we will be travelling to new parishes with both Advent and Lent Nightwatch programs. See where we are going and what we are doing here!
We'll also have all-new content for the blog, new resources to share with youth ministers, and exciting continuing education opportunities to share! Our hope and prayer is that these opportunities will help you and your youth encounter God and connect with the Gospel.
We hope you will join us for one of our many events this year! Don't hesitate to contact our office for more information on any of the events or resources we provide.
