Tie or tape diagonal pieces of streamers to various pegs or objects and have your group crawl through it one at a time as though the streamers were secret laser lights – if they touch a piece of streamer paper (laser), they must start over again. Who in the group is successful in the least amount of time?
Rock, Paper, Scissors, RUN
Divide your youth into groups of 4 to 5 kids. Designate a safety area for each team (such as the opposite wall). Call out which two teams will battle first. Each team decides quietly to each other which symbol they will show (rock, paper, or scissors). Then both teams run to the middle and play. The normal rules apply. Rock beats scissors. Scissors beats paper. Paper beats rock. The team that loses has to run back to their safety zone. The winning team will chase them and try to tag them. Anyone who is tagged is out. Play until only one team is left.
Stack it up
Another one that looks simple, but proves to be much harder than we anticipate. Players must stack 25 pennies in under a minute using only one hand. Have three players compete at once and see who is most successful.
