What is the Episcopal Youth Event?
The Episcopal Youth Event (EYE) is a triennial gathering of high school youth. It is an event that celebrates the diversity of the Episcopal Church and invites participants to build deeper relationships with Jesus and with other Episcopalians. The event includes worship, speakers, workshops, concerts, recreation, and other activities. Dorm-style housing and meals are provided on the campus of the host university.
Who can attend?
Youth in grades 9-12 in the 2016-2017 school year are invited and encouraged to attend EYE. Because each Diocese is limited to the number of youth in their delegation, we have created an application process for interested participants. We are seeking a group of diverse youth who are willing to represent the Diocese of Pennsylvania and share their experiences with the larger Episcopal Church. Applicants should be active in their parish and community. Members of the delegation must be able to attend Lent Nightwatch and a mandatory orientation session prior to the trip.
What's the cost?
$810 per person (includes registration, room and board, and travel to and from Oklahoma City)
Additional scholarships and a payment plan are available from the Diocese. We encourage parishes to sponsor a portion of the cost of the trip.
